HAIKU

Dedicated to Dave Muñoz

PictureDave Muñoz and Cristina Olsen
LIBERATION HAIKU:

I'm an acolyte
Sitting at the feet of
Haiku Dave, my guru

He taught me seventeen
Syllables: inspiration
Through discipline

Inspiration:

The wellspring is pain
Gushing shards of glinting quartz
Mocking my thirsty heart

Syncopation:
I find myself thinking
In syllables, counting out
The beats of life
