Lessons from lovers past

Picture
Black leather gloves and
Spike-heeled boots melt frigid reserve
With laser heat

 Become one with
Motorcycle and road
Leaning into hairpin curves

 William Blake and
Progressive jazz say the same thing:
Open your mind, man

 Race your Porsche straight
Through the mud, it was built for
Fun, not showroom floors

 Devour excellent
 Food, wine, music, art, sex,
 Savor conversation

 Sailing, like love,
Satisfies the urge to test our strength
Against the wind

Crisply ironed sheets
Sensuous against my skin,
Luxurious sleep

Looking down, I've grown
Larger than the sum of lost heroes-
I can fly
