The Double Helix Collection

Picture

Reflection at Day's End:
Sunset, bleeding
Into night. My heart is
Crushed by such beauty

The Mystery of Life:
Sunrise, almost
Unexpected, awakens a
Tingling in my blood

My Sunday Hike:
Anticipating vistas,
Hikes ritualize
The joy of brave steps

Good Habits:
Rituals can be good,
Rituals that keep you alive
Are better.

Transitions:
Be there, grateful for
What happens next at its
Moment of inception

Agnostic Faith:
We are so very small
Can ants comprehend
Blake, bridges, or love?

Overcoming Intransigence:
We cannot see
Until we lift the weighted
Edge of our perception

Collective Consciousness:
Sometimes we know the glorious truth without being told,
We just know

Stop Thinking:
Philosophies only
Go so far. Experience
Alone brings joy

Introvert:
Step lovingly,
Quietly observing the day,
Nodding to your friends

Extrovert:
I love you, good people!
How did you each grow to be
So different?

Overcoming Fear:
Act! love! Fear no more
Mistakes will be made. So?
Love will be made, as well.

The Vast World:
I knew with each in-breath
Provincial harvest was
Not enough for me

Jealousy:
Don't ask me to compare
The moonrise here to any other
Or love

Vernal Equinox:
Six years since we met
My equanimity restored
Now that you're gone

Welcome Home:
I arranged my life
For you to enter
Someone else will be grateful

Life's Little Surprises:
Attempting to
Control my future,
I stumbled upon destiny

Sojourn of the Solo Aviatrix:
I navigate this life
through dark galaxies like
An unfettered moon

Rebirth:
We live many lifetimes
Here and now in this
Finite incarnation

Reawakening Joy:
Morning sun, love reborn,
A new era slips its sweet

Breath into mine

Sex, Me:
I am the cosmos
Earthy and ethereal
Kiss me everywhere

Sex, You:
Each skin cell a compass
Drawn to your true polar north
Guiding me home

 On Being Single:
Sleeping alone between
Cold sheets, I dream of figs
Eaten from your hand

My Epitaph:
She was loving
She was loved
No accomplishment carries the same Weight
